Synastry shows contact points

Western synastry compares two natal charts. It looks at how one person's planets land in the other person's houses and how the two charts aspect each other. Venus, Mars, Moon, Saturn and the angles often become important.

This can describe chemistry, emotional safety, pressure, attraction and commitment themes. But synastry can become misleading when reduced to simple compatibility scores.

Eastern systems ask different relationship questions

Bazi may examine spouse-star dynamics, Day Branch interaction, useful elements and timing cycles. Ziwei may examine the relationship palace, transformations and the wider palace network. These systems often ask how relationship roles are carried, not just whether two people are attracted.

That makes them useful for questions like: who tends to carry responsibility, where does pressure enter, when does the relationship become easier or harder, and what patterns repeat over time?

Compatibility should return agency

Oracle avoids treating compatibility as a verdict. Strong attraction with poor boundaries is still risky. A difficult chart contact can become workable with maturity, timing and clear agreements. A soft contact does not replace trust.

The bridge approach is to identify themes both people can act on: communication style, emotional pacing, responsibility, money, family pressure, distance, commitment and repair. That is more useful than telling someone a relationship is simply destined or doomed.
