The Major Arcana is a growth story

The sequence begins with the Fool, open to the unknown, and moves through will, intuition, nurture, order, choice, discipline, surrender, death, temptation, collapse, hope, confusion, clarity, judgment, and integration.

Difficult cards are not punishments. Death can mean transition, the Devil can reveal bondage, and the Tower can expose structures that were never stable.

Meaning depends on position

The same card speaks differently as a challenge, advice, root cause, or likely outcome. The Tower as advice may mean dismantling a false structure; as a blockage, it may mean fear of necessary change.

Ask what the card wants you to learn, not whether it is simply good or bad.
